But with your help, it doesn’t have to be this way. For just $40 a month, you can provide a refugee family with continuous shelter, kickstarting their journey toward stability and self-reliance. Monthly Donors: Critical to Our Mission

In recent years, fewer than 2% of refugees are able to access the lasting solutions they need—whether returning home, remaining in the country to which they’ve fled, or resettling elsewhere. For most, life in limbo drags on for decades. They’re denied basic rights and forced to rely on aid just to survive. But this is far from the life they want—they want to use their skills, work hard, and contribute to their communities. Most of all, they want to build a place to call home.

At RefugePoint, we help refugees move from being dependent on aid to being self-reliant, from living in danger to living in safety. Once households can independently meet their needs, they graduate from what we refer to as the self-reliance runway– a program that, on average, takes refugees 24 months to complete. That’s why monthly donors are so critical. Your steady support gives refugee families the chance to rebuild their lives, step by step, until they can stand on their own.

Daniel Family Reunification

“I have no words to explain how excited I am. My daughter has never seen me in real life, and we only see each other when I call on video. I can’t wait to meet my daughter. To hold her in my arms for the first time even though she’s six years old and going to school.”

Daniel

Esperance

“I feel great because what I need I can get from the business. My children are going to school and they eat regularly, [and] I can pay my rent from the business. That is what makes me happy with this business.”

Michael

“Besides my career, the thing that I want to achieve in life is to help my family live a healthy life. [Since I was ten years old] I have not seen my family having a healthy life, enjoying life, having fun, because of the difficulties we have been passing through… I want to change my family and I want to change my community.”

Michael

“After completing RefugePoint’s business training I received a business grant, which I used to purchase a sewing machine. It has made a huge difference. I no longer have to spend money renting, and my income has increased.”

Alex

Umutoni

“In French they say, ‘I feel I am ‘fière’ (proud) of my life now. I’m no longer seeking assistance, I’m confident in my business and now I have my own money.

Pascasia

“I can depend on myself, unlike before, when I had to depend on help.”
